Rohtang Pass in September 2023

The main snow point in Manali is Rohtang Pass and it is the main attraction to all tourists, as they visit Himachal and especially Manali to enjoy snow all round the year. It is located 51 km from Manali with an altitude of 4111 metres on the Manali – Keylong Highway. The valleys and hills surrounding the Pass are covered by snow almost throughout the year.

The Rohtang Pass in the month of September is open to the tourists and it is covered with snow. During this month, the ice all over is frozen and adventurous sports like skiing, snow biking, trekking and paragliding can be enjoyed there. The scenic beauty is enjoyable and eye catching, having no words to express. Traditional dresses on rent are available for photography there. Yak rides are also available. Tourists can enjoy fast food in the restaurants on the roadside and the river side of Beas River.

• Do not forget to carry heavy woolens for Rohtang pass as it is a very cold place all round the year. You also have the option of getting this clothing on rent on the way to Rohtang Pass but preferable that basic woolen cloths you can carry with yourself.
