Rohtang Pass in November 2023

The main tourist spot in Manali and also in Himachal Pradesh is the Rohtang Pass. This is the main snow point in Manali with an altitude of 4111 metres high on the Manali- Keylong highway. The Pass is closed on Tuesdays.

During the month of November, the Pass is opened for the tourists but only before 15th of Nov after that it will be closed till 15th May. The valleys around are covered with snow during this month. The snow this time would be around 1-2 feet. Tourists can enjoy playing with fresh snow balls. The scenic beauty is wonderful treat for nature lovers and for those who are far from nature and hilly regions. In this cold region, tourists enjoy having hot fast food and beverages in the nearby small food outlets and from those who vendor about selling around in the pass. Yak and horse rides can be enjoyed here. Traditional dresses are available here on rent for photography. Adventurous sports like skiing , paragliding and trekking can also be done here.

• If there is heavy snowfall the pass gets closed and vehicles go up to snow point only.
• Do not forget to carry heavy woolens for Rohtang pass as it is a very cold place all round the year. You also have the option of getting this clothing on rent on the way to Rohtang Pass
