Leisure Valley Chandigarh

One of the most beautiful and attractive tourist location that can be in Chandigarh, the Leisure Valley is an eight-kilometre long linear stretch that covers a large part of Chandigarh. It begins from Rajendra Park in Sector 1 that is basically used for long walks, yoga and other fitness workout activities and stretches till the Bougainvillea garden in Sector 3. It houses over 17,000 species of plants and 1600 varieties of roses.  It’s nice to see the sunrise amidst the trees in the morning. The most excellent time to see the Leisure valley is February to march month as this is best time because in these months is the flourishing period of the flowers. A Leisure Valley premise is also the venue for Chandigarh Carnival. It is a three days long mega event mainly aimed at promoting the budding talent. It is held every year in the month of November, usually hosted in Sector 10.

Best Time to Visit Chandigarh

The best time to visit Chandigarh is between August and November, when the fall is in its prime, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. There is an overall pleasant weather that is apt for travelling.

How to reach Chandigarh

By Air: – The airport is 11 kilometers from the city center. Taxis are available from the airport. Indian Airlines, Jet Airways, Air Deccan, etc. are available from Chandigarh Airport to almost all major cities. The Chandigarh administration has a well-organized tourism information center at the airport.

By train: – Chandigarh is connected to the national capital New Delhi by rail. Chandigarh railway station is at a distance of 17 to 8 km from the centre point of the city.

By Road: – The city of Chandigarh is well connected by road and buses are available as important transportation. Bus services are available from here to various states like Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Delhi etc.
