Kansal Chandigarh
Kansal is a small village on the outskirts of Chandigarh, which is leased from the neighboring state of Punjab. Near the village is an extensive natural reserve called kansal Forest, where numerous animals including hyena, antelope, neelgai, jackal and rabbit are found. Although entry into the forest is restricted, yet if you want to see nature and wildlife up close, you will have to get permission from the Deputy Conservator of Chandigarh Forest. There is also a rest house inside the forest, from where the beautiful view of the green forest and colorful flowers is seen.

The best time to visit Chandigarh is between August and November, when the fall is in its prime, and the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. There is an overall pleasant weather that is apt for travelling.

Kansal is 7 km from Chandigarh. Local buses and auto rickshaws are easily available as a means of transport. Chandigarh is the destination when arriving by air and rail.
