Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar
Jallianwala Bagh is a public park located near the famous Golden Temple of Amritsar which houses a memorial commemorating the massacre by the British. This tragic incident left a very bad impact on the country and after this, a memorial was built after independence commemorating innocent people who lost their lives in this incident. The genocide memorial established by the Government of India in 1951 at Jallianwala Bagh was inaugurated on 13 April 1961 by Dr. Rajendra Prasad.
