How to reach Dharamshala by Train from Delhi
There is no railway station in Dharamshala. The nearest railway station to Dharamshala is Pathankot. The distance from Pathankot to Dharamshala is only 85 kilometers. The nearest broad gauge rail head is at the neighboring small station of Pathankot and Pathankot Cantt, a comfortable overnight journey from Delhi. From here you can travel by bus or taxi, which will also get you from outside Pathankot railway station. It takes 3-4 hours to reach Dharamshala by bus from Pathankot while taxi also takes 2-3 hours. Pathankot railway station is directly connected to most cities of the country. There is also a small railway station Kangra near Dharamshala but most of the big trains do not stop here. The distance from Kangra to Dharamshala is only 22 kilometers. Apart from this, you can also catch a train up to Chandigarh. Apart from this, you can also catch a train from Delhi to Pathankot which is easily available. Apart from this, there is no direct train from Delhi to Kangra.
