Is Rohtang pass open in April?

During the month of April, the roads to Rohtang Pass are opened by mid of the month if the snowfall in the months January – February are not very heavy and if the roads are cleared and are safe to travel. The permission to travel on the Rohtang Pass highway is given by The Indian Army. When the roads are opened here, adventurous sports like skiing, snow biking ,horse riding and paragliding can be enjoyed there. As the weather in Rohtang Pass is unpredictable, if the year experiences heavy snowfall, the roads to Rohtang pass are blocked in the entire month April and are opened when the roads are safe to travel. Tourists are advised to wear the warm clothing available on rental basis to enjoy the best on snow and avoiding getting wet while playing.
