So to go from Delhi to Manali by train, you can go up to Chandigarh only and take bus or taxi from there for onward journey. Chandigarh Manali Distance is 250 kilometers and it takes 8-10 hours to reach Manali from Chandigarh. Delhi Chandigarh distance is also 250 kilometers so you can travel only half the distance by train if you want to go to Manali from Delhi by train.
