Bakrota Hills (Barapattar Hills) Dalhousie

Bakrota Hills, also known as Upper Bakrota, is the highest point of Dalhousie and is a circle of road called Bakrota Walk, which leads to Khajjiar. This hill is situated at an altitude of 2085 meters above sea level.  Even though there is not much to attract tourists to this place, taking a stroll and seeing the fascinating scenery around the place makes the eyes of the tourists very enjoyable. Let me tell you that this area is surrounded by cedar trees and lush green hills. Tourists can come here and enjoy the natural beauty. This spot is unique for adventure lovers.

The best time to visit Dalhousie is the summer season, which starts from the month of March and lasts up to May.

By flight: Gaggal Airport in Kangra is the nearest domestic airport to reach Dalhousie. Taxis are easily available to reach the hill station, which is 108 km from Dalhousie.

By Train: The nearest rail route to reach Dalhousie is Pathankot. The railway station, which is 80 km from the hill city, is well connected to various cities of India, such as Delhi, Mumbai and Amritsar.
